Thanks for stopping by the Avesta Kanotcenter! I've been arranging canoeing trips in Sweden for more than a decade. The canoe center is located just outside the famous Färnebofjärdens National Park. We rent canoes and camping equipment, help you plan your canoe tour, and pick you up and drop you off.

The national park is located in central Sweden, about 140 kilometers north of Stockholm, in between Dalarna and Gävleborg counties. The park has some of the most beautiful nature and wildlife I've ever seen.
How to get to Avesta Kanotcenter
Fly into Stockholm's Arlanda airport. From there you can take a train ride (about 1 hour) to Avesta Krylbo station, in the town of Avesta. I'll pick you up there, and if you want, I'll drive you to a grocery store so you can get supplies for your canoe trip. Then we'll drive to the canoe center, just 20 minutes away.

At Avesta Kanotcenter, you can rent all of the equipment you need, including canoes, life jackets, and camping equipment. I'll show you on a big map all of the great places to explore.
After that, you can either stay the night in my B&B rooms, or camp on site, or get started on your canoe trip right away.
